This is an annual series of FREE, outdoor salsa dances held at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver during July and August.
Get ready to move those hips with free lessons starting at 3pm and stay to watch professional salsa dancers perform at 5pm. Here's what last year's Salsa Afternoon in Robson Square looked like...

Fashion's Night Out in Vancouver ~ TONIGHT

by Carmen Cruz

For the first time in Vancouver, Fashion's Night Out will be taking over the downtown core.

The evening kicks off with a fashion show at CBC's Studio 40 (700 Hamilton Street), with doors opening at 5:30pm (I've gotta be honest with you here. If you're not there at that time, you're pretty much not getting in). The fashion show starts at 6PM and lasts about an hour. It'll feature a few local designers and a bunch of big name international designers/companies.

After the show, you're encouraged to shop to your hearts content. Over 90 beauty and fashion retailers in the downtown core will be offering sales and specials and even restaurants are getting in on the action with 'fashion-inspired theme menus'.

Alberni Street and Robson Street will be the heart of all the retail action, with several nearby areas still offering you some solid deals (Yaletown and Davie Street).

If you're in a dancing mood later on tonight there will be an afterparty at Bar None, but heads up, you'll need a ticket to get in.

You can get all the info you need at Fashion's Night Out Website.

At this very moment I'm doing some lunges and stretches, getting all limber for tonight's shopping mayhem.

See ya there ;)
