More Than 5 Years Later, It's Baaaaaaccckkk!!!!!

by Carmen Cruz

The Pemberton Music Festival is coming back for July 18th - 20th, 2014. YAAAAAAYYY!!!
The lineup hasn't been announced yet, but if it's anything like the 2008 lineup, it will most likely be MIND BLOWING. No pressure for the organizers, right?

The 2008 edition saw Vampire Weekend, Coldplay, Jay Z, N.E.R.D, Matisyahu, Airborne Toxic Event, The Flaming Lips and Deadmau5 (just to name a teeny tiny few) making sweet, sweet music in one of the most scenic areas, surrounded by nature and mountains. Oh the memories...

If you're looking to book your tickets before anyone else, there are a limited number of “Founder’s Program” tickets going on sale as of THIS Friday, September 27 at 9 a.m. The Founder’s Program allows you to buy discounted three-day general admission tickets at $189,  along with an amenities bundle that will only be available with these early bird tickets.

You ready for this? Want more info? Here Ya Go.

Can't waaaaaiiittt!!!

Enjoy.

Music I'm Loving.

by Carmen Cruz

Here's a list of a few tunes I'm really into right now, both new and old.

The Airborne Toxic Event - All I Ever Wanted ~ I love tunes with strings in them. Plus, this band is awesome, so it's double the goodness.

The Strokes - Reptilia ~ One of my top 10 favourite bands. This song always reminds me of the game 'Garage Band'. I kick ass at the drums. No lie.

Vampire Weekend - Oxford Comma ~ Another band on the list of my top 10 favourites of all time. They're brilliant. I had a chance to meet the guys and hang out with them, and I had to bail. It's a long story, but my heart still hurts when I think about it. **sniffle, tear**

Björk - Venus As A Boy ~ Such an amazing tune. I *heart* this crazy lady!

The Vaccines - If You Wanna ~ A total summer time song. Fun!

Artists I just 'don't get' include : Bruno Mars & Foster The People. Seriously. I might half-ass tolerate a tune by Foster, but that's about it. I just don't get the hype.

Two Door Cinema Club and a third nipple???

by Carmen Cruz

If the bands Phoenix and Vampire Weekend could somehow have a love child (impossible, I know... but let's pretend, si?!) the result would be Two Door Cinema Club. These boys are from Northern Ireland and have released a WICKED debut album called Tourist. I downloaded it off iTunes today and highly recommend you check them out.

I was also lucky enough to check out the guys when they were playing at The Venue back in April. Not only was the show sold out, it was also A-W-E-S-O-M-E! The only way I can describe their music is dancey (yeah, I made up the word ;) with a bit of punk, rock and pop mixed in. Me likey. When I interviewed the boys, we chatted about groupies, music and yes, a certain members' infamous third nipple.

Enjoy!

P.S: Do they not air the tv show 'Friends' in Northern Ireland? These guys had no idea what I was talking about. Awkward!
