My Latest Obsession

by Carmen Cruz

Last year, I accidentally stumbled across an artist's website that truly blew my mind.
His name is Fab Ciraolo and he happens to be a fellow Chilean (bonus!).
He takes some of your favourite icons from the past and brings them back to life in the 21st century.
Honestly? This guy's work is my latest obsession.

Check it out.

Amazing, no?
If you're interested, you can find out more about Fab through his website, tumblr, twitter and facebook page.
Yes, he sells prints and clothing featuring his painfully cool works or art (JOY!).
I've got my eye on a Frida Kahlo tank....

Enjoy.

Will You Marry Me... On Twitter?!?!

by Carmen Cruz

Canadian DJ Deadmau5 recently proposed to tattoo diva Kat Von D via twitter - and she said yes.
Seriously? Ugh.
 Here's the tweet in question:

Deadmau5 justifies his proposal by saying "To absolve any "proposing on twitter is lame" quips... we met on Twitter, so I thought it was appropriate and thoughtful. Just sayin'."

Isn't proposing to someone something you do face-to-face?

Internet control? No thanks.

by Carmen Cruz

Some of your favourite sites are taking a hiatus today. Why? In protest of SOPA /PIPA. What's that,  you ask? Well, it's an anti-piracy bill they're trying to pass in the US. It all comes down to internet censorship/ control. Even Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Blogs would be affected if this law is passed. Here's a helpful video to explain what it's all about.

PROTECT IP / SOPA Breaks The Internet from Fight for the Future on Vimeo.

The US is most affected by this right now, but it's just a matter of time before, like a bad rash, this spreads.

So a special thanks to Wikipedia, fark.com, odditycentral.com, and all the other sites out there in internet land who are taking the time to stand up against these censorship boards.

Hey SOPA/PIPA... guess what?    :P

If You're On Twitter, You Need To Know This. *Caution - It's Addictive*

by Carmen Cruz

My buddy Producer Dan turned me onto this site and ever since then, I've been hooked. It's called 'Who Unfollowed Me' and you basically sign in and find out who deleted you from their twitter account and who isn't following you. Now I know this sounds like a scam but I cross my hear and swear to Gad that it's not.
Basically, all ya have to do is click here.

**Caution ~ This site is extremely addictive. You might find yourself checking it 2, 5, or 7 times a day.**

Enjoy!

p.s: If someone deleted you from their account, don't take it personally n'kay? It's just twitter!
