The Postal Service = The brainchild of Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello. This dynamic duo has only ever released one album called 'Give Up' (back in 2003) and then reissued it for it's 10th anniversary in 2013.
For the last two years, there have been rumours that TPS were finally working on new music, but any hopes for a sophomore album were squashed earlier this year when in a Reddit interview, Gibbard confirmed that The Postal Service was D-O-N-E.
Such a shame.
An olide, but always and forever a goodie.
Enjoy.

My little brother sent me a video showing off the Halloween costume my mom helped him make. Hilarity ensues.
Clearly, amazing dance moves run in my family.

Because it's Friday!
"Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing" was a hit single from Stevie Wonder's classic 1973 album "Innervisions", which reached #16 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and #2 on the R&B chart. The song's lyrics convey a positive message about taking things in stride and accentuating the positive.

Dan Auerbach is most well known as the lead singer for the Black Keys, but in reality, the uber-talented musician has tons of projects on the go.
The latest one is called 'The Arcs' which is an assortment of some of the musicians Dan likes to jam with.
Earlier this month, they released their debut album, 'Yours, Dreamily'.
It's quirky, it's psychedelic and unbelievably cool.
Here are 2 tracks I currently have on repeat.
Enjoy.

Take Me Out To The Baaaaaall Gaaaaaame!!!!
On Friday, The Vancouver Canadians will kick off their new season, but tonight, local celebrities and people from the media will be stepping up to the plate - all to support research and awareness on the risks of heart disease.
I'll be brushing off my cleats (let's be honest here- my worn out runners) and competing in a six-inning softball extravaganza. Considering my "amazing" hand-eye coordination, hilarity should ensue.
So what can you expect tonight?
It's a night packed with fan favourites - Dancing groundskeepers, sushi races and concession stand goodies galore, PLUS fans will get a sneak peek into what’s new at the Nat.
Admission to tonight's game is $2.00 with 100% of the proceeds going towards the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation and its efforts to raise funds and awareness for the provincial Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Here's the rundown:
WHAT: Vancouver Canadians Strike Out Heart Disease Celebrity Softball Game
WHEN: Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 6:00pm
WHERE: Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium, 4601 Ontario Street, Vancouver, BC
WHO: Two teams of local media (TV, radio, print & digital)
Local celebrities and dignitaries
Jake Kerr, Co-Owner of the Vancouver Canadians
Andy Dunn, President of the Vancouver Canadians
WHY: Watch local media and celebrities play ball in a six-inning softball game. In support of the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, the event supports research and awareness on the risks of heart disease.
Hope to see you there!

U2 in the CFOX studios
What do you do when the band you've loved, admired and listened to almost your entire life agrees to come to your work???
You lose your mind.
You become a blubbering teenager, unable to string together simple sentences.
You find yourself giddy and jumping around, squealing in excitement.
What do I wear?
Will they be cool?
Will I be able to 'play it cool'?
Will I get a chance to actually meet them/talk to them?
I had a million questions - and in the end - I knew these guys wouldn't disappoint.
And they really and truly didn't.
U2's Adam Clayton & I
Be listening to 99.3 CFOX to hear Bono, The Edge, Larry & Adam take over our station as they play their favoruite bands.
Jeremy Baker & U2
They'll also be chatting with our Drive host Jeremy Baker about their past, present, and their future - as well as their Innocence + Experience tour which kicks off TONIGHT here in Vancouver.
Can't waaaaaaaait!

This woman gets the award for 'Mother Of The Year'. No question.
The best part was that this was all caught on live TV.
Now if only each and every rioter could have the same thing happen to them, oh what a glorious world it would be!!!!

They say that simple minds are amused by simple things.
I think I reverted to a dorky 10 year old and laughed for about 5 minutes after watching this video... and I'm OK with that.

That Jimmy Fallon never fails to impress. Check out The Tonight Show host singing a cover of 'Holiday' with the legendary Madonna and house band The Roots... and they're playing along with children's instruments, of course.

The toxic oil spill in English Bay on Thursday (April 9, 2015) was a major blow to our ecosystem here in Vancouver.
While major efforts continue to completely contain the spill, concerned (and bighearted!) volunteers are banding together to clean up our shorelines.
Regular people of Vancouver are attempting to clean up the beach after a toxic fuel spill because they see no professional clean-up crew doing it. We interviewed these volunteers to understand what they were seeing last night in English Bay.
We here in Vancouver are so incredibly lucky to have both the mountains and the ocean on our doorstep.
Lets help take care of them.

It's a new year, so that means a new look, a new logo, and a brand spanking new site to kick things off. Yaaaaay!
So far, 2015 has given me a trip to the exotic, far away land of... wait for it.... wait for it... Edmonton, an appreciation for boxed wine (don't judge. These vino companies have really stepped up their game!) and the realization that my beloved pup is really slowing down in his old age (sniffle, tear).
Cardinal Zin - My latest boxed vino addiction // Maslow - He's old and crusty, but he's still the best // Flying over the Rockies
While I've never been one for introspective posts, I have to share with you that as time goes by, there are certain things I'm learning to appreciate more. Family, friends, faults, and a really good laugh - just to name a few. 2015 should be the year of Quality Over Quantity - whether that's in relation to clothing, food, or special moments, etc. - it's not about how many you have, but instead how much you value and enjoy those really great things in your life. Make sense?
**Stepping Off Soapbox**
Oh! And I wanted to send out a special thanks to the BRILLIANT Wyatt over at Highflyer Advertising & Design for the amazing work on my logo and website. You're the bees knees!
Have a great weekend you sexy beasts!
